Cleaves Asset Management ICAV was established in 2021 and is registered in Ireland and authorized by the Central Bank of Ireland. The ICAV functions as an umbrella framework organization allowing multiple funds to be organized thereunder.

Cleaves Shipping Fund QIAIF was launched as the first such fund in July 2021 as a long/short shipping-focused hedge fund.

We are investing in selected shipping segments and will have exposure based only on sound econometric analysis of shipping fundamentals. We aim to generate return by identifying cyclical expansions and contractions within the respective sectors. We work in tandem with Cleaves Research who are ranked as a global leader in marine research by Bloomberg. Sophisticated econometrics are applied in forecasting cyclical trends in each sector and correlated to developments in the individual listed shipping companies. The fund is presently investing in listed securities. Other instruments and direct investments may be considered in due course if considered of satisfactory opportunistic value. The fund shall have a diversified portfolio across sectors.
